Hebrew University
The School of Engineering and Computer Science at Hebrew University was established in 1999. At the same time a new program in Computer Engineering was established. This unique program is based on input from the departments of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. It emphasizes a solid computer science education that is required for leaders of the high-tech industry and developers of cutting edge computer-based systems.
An ARC processor and simulation environment are used in a course on embedded systems, that was given for the first time in 2008 to about 40 students. This course was designed and given in cooperation with the Intel design center in Jerusalem. It provides the required background on embedded system components, design methodologies and environments, and practical experience using the ARC system.
Hebrew University was founded in 1925, and has about 23000 students. It is the oldest university in Israel, and is regularly included in the 100 top universities in the world.
